Whether it’s finding a job, making a contribution in a volunteer role, establishing a home, or being part of the community, the goal is to assist the person to lead a full and active life.  We work one-on-one with people using a true person centered approach in order to foster relationships between people and their communities.

We are seeking a creative, flexible and easy- going artist  to provide one- on-one support for a man who lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  He is looking for an artist who can assist him in developing his artistic skills by introducing him to a variety of mediums and methods.  He specializes in animated characters having a great interest in The Muppets.

The best candidate would have a gentle energy and be able to introduce alternative artistic modalities, while imaginatively integrating  these new skills with his subject of interest.   

The shift would be on Saturdays for 2 hours.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following tasks:

  • Supporting him in his artistic endeavors
  • Proposing different methods and materials to deepen his craft
  • Help individual make artistic connections within his community  
  • Assist him to prepare for the activity and then debrief afterwards.
  • Assisting him by helping him to meet new people and create new friendships within the art world.  

Qualifications: Minimum education experience - High school degree.

Salary: 18.00/hr, non-exempt
