The Life Coaching Project at Job Path supports young adults who have Autism /Asperger's reach their goals whether at college, at home, or out in the community.  We are seeking an artistic, mature, responsible and creative mentor to provide one-on-one support for a young woman who lives in City Island, Bronx. She is an artist and aspiring children’s book author / illustrator. We are looking for an individual to support this young woman to work on art projects, attend college courses and private art classes, and participate in activities in her community and throughout New York City. The schedule is 2-3 days / week 10-5 p.m., preferably Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following tasks:

  • Completing case notes and monthly summary notes on time
  • Support this young woman to participate in community activities such as attending film festivals and attending activities in the Bronx and Manhattan
  • Support this young woman to develop her travel safety skills and work with her on travelling independently via public transportation
  • Support this young woman to pursue artistic endeavors and classes including attending college courses and private lessons and helping her navigate the classroom dynamics with her peers and teachers

Salary: $13.89 per hour
